Psiloritis, Crete’s highest mountains at 2,456m in the Ida mountain range

The trail
We will meet at Mygero Refuge and begin our ascent up to the peak. This 10km out and back route has 900m of elevation gain, mainly in the first 3km. The path begins with steps made of stone built into the mountain side and as this is a very popular route, the trail is well defined and fairly smooth with rocks sections the closer we get to the summit.

The weather can be cold and windy at the top so I advise you to bring a long sleeve top or a windbreaker
